What makes RCS different?

SMS is part of GSM networks and is available for all mobile phones and operators.RCS is a new communication protocol that works thanks to an internet connection, without depending on GSM (the specific operator must support it).

SMS work on all phones that have a GSM signal

 RCS work on phones with Android 10+ and iOS 18+ (together approx. 50% of phones in the Czech Republic). To receive messages, the phone must be connected to the internet

Messages are shown as text only. It is not possible to track message opens.

 Messages can contain interactive elements such as buttons, images, video and more. Deliverability and read status of messages can be tracked.

Where can RCS be used?

Currently, we offer RCS in cooperation with T-Mobile Czech Republic for delivering messages to this network.

What if the recipient doesn't have RCS?

If the recipient doesn't have RCS, the message will be sent via SMS.

What is the price for sending RCS?

The price for sending RCS varies by message type. You can choose a basic message (up to 160 characters), which is comparable to the SMS price. You can also choose an interactive message (image, buttons, video, etc.), which is slightly more expensive. Another option is sending a so-called conversation message where you pay for 1 conversation (up to 24 hours) and messages within the conversation are free. The price per conversation is equivalent to the price of 2x SMS.
